After Target’s last great collaboration with Prabal Gurung, I have been waiting on bated breath to hear which of my favorite designers would jump on the Target train next. The answer almost made me pee my pants…
3.1 Phillip Lim is coming to Target September 15th!
I am beyond excited! Phillip Lim is one of my all-time favorite American designers. His dressy-but-casual designs are known for looking very put together and pretty–but no matter how elegant they can be, there’s always a cool, street undertone. I can’t wait to get my hands on the entire line! Check out his Fall RTW 2013 line below!
As much as I love mainstream fashion and apparel, I get even more excited about the pool of local independent designers we have here in the Mile High. These designers are true artists. They don’t have the weight of a 100 year old label’s reputation
screwing up influencing their creative decisions. These designers have free reign to show us what inspires them.
Denver has a genius pool of artistic designers, btw, two of which will be showcasing their custom creations at Unit E, a creative space and art collective, on March 22nd. Bex Zilla Design and Phaulty Phantasmagoria are custom apparel labels based in the Denver area. Support your local designers at the Skin Therapy Show.

10 Crosby Derek Lam Fall RTW 2013 is so laid back this year. The loose fitting jackets and tops are easily dressed up or down and I love the urbane prints this year. They’re pretty subdued in comparison to last years print trends.
My favorite pieces from the runway show yesterday are the black/blue print pant and the chunky short sleeved sweater. Short sleeved sweaters are perfect for the weather transition here in Denver (the slushy snow we got last night promises that Spring is near but it’s no less irritating) and they’ll be pretty easy to replicate for a cool DIY project.
